Features

We've ditched the traditional two-box SUV shape for a more fluid design, giving the CR-V a refined look.

Exterior

Fluid design

A front double grille and a side profile with an arched window accent the CR-V's distinctive presence. Adding to the clean lines, the spare tyre now resides under the rear floor, which benefits visibility and parking.

Projector headlamps

The headlamp design provides sharp illumination thanks to halogen projector-style light assemblies that feature a clear and durable one-piece outer lens. It wraps stylishly around the CRV's front corners.

High-mount rear lamps

The rear lamps are mounted high on the body and envelop the D-pillar. Combined with a high-mount stop lamp, this ensures that drivers behind you are always aware of your intentions.

Lift-up tailgate

The top-hinged tailgate is lightweight and effortless to use, thanks to hydraulic dampers and special hinges. It's great when you're juggling grocery bags, backpacks, keys and other assortments.

17 inch wheels

All CR-V models sit on 17 inch wheels. The CR-V base model has styled steel wheels, while the CR-V Sport and CR-V Luxury (pictured) are both equipped with alloy wheels. The tyre size is 225/65R17.

Interior

Multi-information display

Located in the main instrument cluster, the multi-information display shows outside temperature, instantaneous and average fuel consumption, range, door ajar warnings, odometer and dual trip meters.

Conversation mirror

CR-V Sport and Luxury models are equipped with a clever overhead conversation mirror that doubles as a sunglasses holder. It allows you to interact with rear passengers while keeping your gaze straight ahead.

Audio system

A 160-watt AM/FM/CD system with 4 speakers is on the CR-V base model, while Sport and Luxury models add 2 more speakers and a 6-disc in-dash CD changer. An Auxiliary jack also let you plug in your portable device.

Air conditioning

All CR-V models include air conditioning as standard. The CR-V Sport and Luxury models also benefit from a dual-zone automatic climate control system that keeps the interior at your desired temperature.

Dual-deck cargo

A dual-deck cargo shelf in the CR-V Sport and Luxury model allows for two levels of storage. There's enough room for a collapsed stroller or pram underneath, while retaining an area on top for items up to 10kg.

Versatile seating

The 40/20/40 split rear seats can be folded down and tumbled forward individually to increase cargo space. They even slide forward and back for extra leg room and recline for comfort on long journeys.

Engineering

2.4 litre i-VTEC engine

The CR-V's formidable 2.4 litre engine employs i-VTEC technology, delivering outstanding performance at the exact moment you need it. It produces an impressive 125 kW of power and 218 Nm of torque.

Real Time 4WD™

In normal driving conditions, only front-wheel drive is used. If you hit a surface which causes wheel slippage, the system automatically engages the rear wheels to help regain traction, quickly and seamlessly.

Transmission

Choose between a standard 6-speed manual or an optional 5-speed automatic transmission with Grade Logic Control. The gear lever has been mounted high on the dash, ensuring it falls easily to hand.

Drive-by-wire throttle

The CR-V features an advanced drive-by-wire throttle system. This replaces the conventional throttle cable with an all-electronic system, enabling better communication with the transmission for a smoother drive.

Towing capability

There's enough torque and pulling power to let you confidently haul a small boat or trailer. In fact, both the manual and automatic can tow up to 1,500kg (using a twin axle trailer with brakes).

Sedan-like handling

To achieve outstanding handling, we lowered the CR-V's centre of gravity by 35 millimetres. Together with the 17 inch wheels and wider stance, these millimetres add up to an agility that is normally only found in sedans.

Fuel efficiency

Honda have an amazing ability to produce powerful and refined engines that minimise fuel usage, and the CR-V is no exception. The combined economy is a remarkable 10.0 litres per 100km* for manual and automatic models.

Safety

Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA)

The advanced Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) combines with Traction Control (TCS) to bring the car back under control and help regain traction in sticky situations, such as hard cornering or swerving to avoid a collision.

Anti-lock brakes

In addition to anti-lock brakes, we've included Electronic Brakeforce Distribution to spread optimal braking force between front and rear. Also, the Brake Assist function increases braking output in emergency conditions.

Airbags

All CR-V models feature dual front and side airbags with an Occupant Position Detection System, ensuring effective deployment. CR-V Sport and Luxury are also equipped with side curtain airbags for both rows.

Active front head restraints

In the unfortunate event of a rear-end collision, the innovative active front head restraints actively move forward to absorb shock and help minimise the potential for whiplash and neck injury.

Keyless entry & alarm

Keyless entry and an advanced engine immobilser are standard on all CR-V models. Meanwhile, your CDs and shopping will be much safer thanks to a fully integrated security alarm system.

Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE™)

ACE™ efficiently absorbs impacts between vehicles of varying sizes in the event of a front-end collision. In addition, our G-Force Control technology (G-Con) disperses energy away from passengers in a crash.

Pedestrian safety

Taking the wellbeing of pedestrians into account in its construction, engineers optimised parts of the front end structure to help absorb energy in the event of a collision with a pedestrian.
