Exterior

Low centre of gravity

A low centre of gravity, low ground clearance and aggressive styling means the Odyssey appears and performs more like a passenger car than a traditional people mover.

Easy entry and exit

The Odyssey's front and rear doors have three-stage door opening angles, enabling smooth entry and exit in confined carparks, even when you have your hands full with luggage.

Side turn indicators

The Odyssey features stylish mirror-mounted side turn indicators. Removing them from their regular position on the fender increases visibility for other road users when signalling and streamlines the Odyssey's appearance.

Electric sunroof

With the electric tilt/slide glass sunroof as standard equipment in the Odyssey Luxury model, you can enjoy a fresh perspective from above without having to leave the comfort of the cabin.

Alloy wheels

The sleek appearance is accentuated by standard 16" alloy wheels on the Odyssey Luxury model. The claw-like twin spoke design adds to the black panther look that was the inspiration for the design team.

LED tail lamps

The Odyssey's combination rear lamps feature LED technology. LEDs are superior to regular globes because they're brighter, longer lasting and are easier for other drivers to see.

Interior

Funky dashboard

The dashboard has an incredible range of controls in the centre panel, including lights that luminate and extinguish in stages as doors are opened/closed. Fuel economy and outside temperature are also displayed.

Climate control

Whether seated in the front or back, the Odyssey's climate control system is designed to keep passengers comfortable all year round. Rear passengers can even select fan settings via a roof-mounted control panel.

Gear shift

The Odyssey's gearshift is located close to the steering wheel. Ergonomic in design with shorter shift stroke all added for ease of driving. LED illumination makes the shift position easier to see at night.

Cruise control

Keep your eyes on the road, rather than the speedo, with Odyssey's intelligent cruise control system. The buttons for all cruise control operations are located on the steering wheel for quick and easy operation.

Walk through cabin

With the controls and gearshift located in the central panel, the centre console table can be folded away for easy walk through to the front for when you need to change seating positions.

Magical seats

The remarkable 'Magical Seats' allow the 3rd row seats to be folded flat in the event that you may need additional storage space. For easy operation, they are power retractable in the Odyssey Luxury model.

Cargo space and storage

Many Honda innovations have been utilised to give you more room. Once the second and third row are folded into place, there are plenty of space for all your cargo. Not to mention lots of compartments and cup holders.

Engineering

2.4 litre i-VTEC engine

The Odyssey features a refined 2.4 litre DOHC i-VTEC engine producing a healthy 118kW of power and 218Nm of torque. The engine design is compact, which allows for a shorter vehicle nose and roomier cabin.

5-speed automatic

The 5-speed sequential shift allows you to drive the Odyssey as a conventional automatic or, with one simple adjustment, convert to manual mode for some 'hands-on sporting fun'.

Advanced suspension

The Odyssey's front and rear double-wishbone suspension achieves excellent vehicle stability, while maximizing driver and passenger comfort. All ensuring a smooth ride for all.

Small turning circle

The Odyssey has technology to provide better driveability. For a sports wagon, the Odyssey has a relatively small turning circle. This ensures smooth and steady handling at high speeds or when changing lanes.

Fuel efficiency

Honda have an amazing ability to produce powerful and refined engines that minimise fuel usage, and the Odyssey is no exception. The combined economy is a remarkable 9.4 litres per 100km*.

Safety

Anti-lock brakes

Odyssey's anti-lock braking system (ABS) stops you going into a skid under hard braking, whilst the advanced Electronic Brakeforce Distribution system (EBD) spreads the optimum braking force between front and rear.

Front seatbelt pretensioners

Front seats have added load-limiters and pretensioners, while the rear has five child safety seat anchorages for improved occupant restraint. The Odyssey also features 3-point seatbelts, fitted in 6 of the seating positions.

SRS airbags

The Odyssey features dual front and side airbags with an Occupant Position Detection System, ensuring effective deployment. The Odyssey Luxury is equipped with side curtain airbags for all three rows.

G-force control

In the event of an accident, Honda's ingenious technology called G-force control (G-CON) immediately moderates the force of the impact, cocooning you and your passengers in a potentially life-saving 'survival zone'.

Pedestrian safety

Pedestrian-friendly technologies are utilised with the primary focus on protecting lives. Impact-absorbing materials have been adopted in the bonnet, bonnet hinges, wiper pivots, front fender and bumpers.
